Here is a great tip on how to lose some extra fat doing low impact, low intensity exercise anyone can do. Upon wakening on an empty stomach, have yourself a glass of water but do not eat, and go for a 15 to 30 minute walk. Do not make this a power walk. Keep it low intensity. This will force your body to burn fat directly from your fat storing cells, like hips and thighs. I thought you might like to hear that.
The Three Day Military Diet is a combination of low calorie foods and chemically compatible foods designed to work in synergy to jump start your weight loss. The plan is made up of three meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. These meals span a duration of three days, followed by 4 days of regular eating; your choice of food.
The claim is that the 3 days on and the 4 days off the diet keep your metabolism from dropping and thus help you lose weight. The calories consumed for day 1 is 1400 calories, day 2 is 1200 calories, and day 3 a total of 1100 calories. At the end of the 4th off day, the claim is that you should have lost up to 10 pounds for that week.

As with all fad diets, they should only be temporary. Longer diet plans extending beyond one week or more should be avoided as they are not only unhealthy but will also lower your BMR (basal metabolic rate). This would result in faster weight gain on an even lower consumption of calories than before the diet.Learn more about BMR here. Best results would be a diet plan less than one week and immediately followed by a healthy long-term meal plan combined with exercise.
Rather than limit you to just my own results I thought it would be more helpful to fill you in on the results of multiple people who have put the Three Day Military Diet Plan to the test. ”T” said they tried the military diet twice before and lost 7 lbs the first time while following the plan and exercising, and 3-4 lbs the second time without exercising.
“Beach Bum” said they tried the diet plan for 3 weeks and lost 3 pounds each week. The food was plentiful and to the most part nutritious. They tried the plan because they had put on some weight after they quit smoking. Their goal was 10 pounds in 4 weeks. So they were happy with the results.
“Kristine” said she tried the 3 day military diet once and plans on doing it again. She lost a whopping 9 pounds in three days and left out the ice cream and the sugar in her coffee, but still snuck in some unhealthy beverages.
“Tracey H.” states that she was kind of disappointed. Tracey says she only lost 3.5 pounds but would have been happier with 5 pounds. She felt weird eating the ice cream and hot dogs, but she did use low fat ice cream and lean beef hot dogs. She believes she could have lost the same amount without the 3 day military diet plan just by cutting out the usual sugar and junk food.
“Nicole” comments that she lost over 13 pounds in three days on the military diet. If you ask me, that is an outrageous claim, but we’ll have to give her the benefit of the doubt. She claims she loves this diet and will continue to do it. I’m guessing by now she weighs zero pounds? Just kidding!
“Deb” lost 5.8 pounds and says she will try it again.
For best results, follow the military diet menu as it is listed. In some cases, you may substitute meat for a lower sodium or lower fat content meat.

The Military Diet is not a sustainable diet by any means due to its low calorie meals. As this is a fad diet, it is meant as a short term diet only. It is not a long term diet plan to promote weight loss long term, but rather a short term diet with no concern for long-term weight maintenance. Fad diets may help you take off a few pounds quickly, and should only be used short term. And the military diet was not created or used by the military as the title may suggest.
“Evelyn” lost 2 lbs on the military diet and unfortunately was disappointed with the results. She believes the food could have been better. If she does the diet again, she will leave out the ice cream, hotdogs, and the peanut butter. Nonetheless, she did learn something about portion sizes from this diet.
“Burst Into Song” was happy losing a total of 7 pounds in one week. They lost 2 lbs the first day, 2 lbs the second day, and another 1 pound on the second day.
“Nyuu” says she and her mom have completed the 3 day military diet plan a couple of times, but never seem to follow through the last meal. I’m guessing they don’t like tuna? Anyway. They always seem to lose about 7 pounds by the fourth day.
“Melissa” states she only lost 4 pound in three days, and that maybe the military diet plan should state that you might not lose 10 pounds in three days. Now that is funny.
“Ela” finished the military diet and lost 2 pounds after faithfully following the plan. Though she was hoping for more, she will take the 2 pounds in 3 days.

There are many sites on the internet with different views on whether to exercise or not to exercise when on the military diet. Personally, I always encourage exercise; diet or no diet. And for those of you who prefer not to exercise or cannot due to health reasons, this diet plan will still work to shed some unwanted pounds.
